Gotcha, Dave! I didn't check the price on the cheaper models. I mistakenly thought the discount would resonate through the entire product line. I simply looked at the model I would most be interested in buying.

I update almost yearly on most of my Apple hardware. However, micro-LED and WiFi 6 are the two absolute must inclusions for anything I buy in the future. My next big hardware purchases with these incorporated would be the iPhone and Macbook Pro.

I don't see there being two identical model releases in one year.

The problem is that the rumor mill is always 1 year ahead of the current model line. Yes, a new 12.9" iPad Pro could be launched next month. However, the spotlight is already on the future LED models that will be released by year's end or next year. Same for the iPhones coming out this fall...
