They MAY be spacing more titles out as they usually do. We won't know for a few more hours
With some titles being delayed, it may reduce the number of announced titles this month, but there is no way of knowing yet.
Not sure about that. It has been 33 minutes since the initial announcement and the last batch was every 15 minutes.
This is odd that Warner just announced this out of the blue, but I'll hold some optimism for more announcements today.
Ramin, what an enjoyable read. Thank you for sharing this. Any one of us would have loved to be sitting alongside you enjoying this private screening experience.
They have all been announced on the forum in the Blu-ray area (just back out of this thread)
However, I will be happy to recap as a 6th title has just been added...
They Drive By Night (1940) (Blu-ray)
The Boob (1926) and Why Be Good (1929) (Blu-ray Double Feature)
Stand and Deliver (1988)...
I have been screaming about this forever
With all due respect to George -- and this is absolutely out of his hands -- there needs to be a more reliable means of getting these announcements out.
Criterion can be relied upon to announce on the 15th of every month with little fail. Sometimes...
Still hoping we see THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER which was hinted at for last Christmas. I'd hate to wait almost a year for that release to coincide with the holidays.
You can expect, but truth be, nobody ever knows.
It's always a crapshoot when WB will announce or if we will see Amazon product links first.
If I can be allowed to guess, I would say by this upcoming Thursday afternoon. However, never a given.
Also, there were 10 titles announced last month...
Haven't had the chance to listen to it yet, though I always get around to it when I am in the car.
I figured the additional title was LOONEY TUNES VOL 3. Did I miss anything?
You're right. It was a miserable 100th celebration for Warner as far as disc releases were concerned.
However, I have mentioned this several times before...given the declining physical media climate, would it have been financially viable for them to have invested so much money in 4k...
We don't know this
You could very well be right, but there have been rumors that Warner was preparing specific popular MGM titles that were under their ownership to commemorate 100 years of MGM.
Normally, I would agree with you that one studio is certainly not going to celebrate the...
That would be through Warner Bros. not necessarily the Archive. I am surprised, however, that nothing to date has been announced from the studio concerning the anniversary.
I am going to assume (and you know what that means) that February's WAC announcement is the large boxed set of Hanna Barbera Superstars. That's a lot of titles for a single month.
Hard to gauge as these leaks happen before Warner officially announces anything on their Facebook page.
No, it's not. There was so much hope for the revitalization of WB. On the Home Entertainment front, WAC was allowed to flourish. This puts everything in jeopardy. I hope this news is not true.
