Dave,
I think 1Password beats the pants off anything else.
Basically, you install it, and the small Safari file extension.
Every site you log into with a password is retained in 1Password.
It works with iCloud so you set it up on one device and it keeps
everything in...
1Password is the best password saver/confidential information
keeping software our there. Oh, Sam will argue it's insecure, but
I think it's invaluable.
Rockmelt has been remembering all my settings between my
iMac and MBP.
Also, just discovered Google Cloud Print which is...
Tony,
Was able to get rid of the advertising banner. Seems like it was something initially
placed there, but once removed, it never appeared again.
Gotta thank you....
I am really liking RockMelt.
It's a really good browser. Love the feeds on the sidebar. I already...
Steve,
Oooh. Didn't mean to alarm you.
Maybe they will be fine.
I only remember when I researched different brands
a few weeks back, the Verbatim discs didn't rate well
on Amazon.
Go look for yourself before deciding to return.
...and check out the Digistor...
Tony,
Curious. Downloading that Rockmelt browser now.
Steve,
Verbatim BD discs got a bad rap on Amazon. I went
and bought Digistor's own brand from Amazon, which was
well rated, and cheaper. They work great.
Let me know how the Verbatim brand works for you.
Steve,
My co-worker just got the same burner from Amazon.
He loves it. He says it works great.
I went with the more expensive Digistor, but that was
just a preference issue.
Can't argue the merits of Copy Cloner. Have heard great things about it.
I have gotten personalized service from SuperDuper as well. The
developer's name is Dave and he's been very helpful.
Dave,
I believe I am mostly correct on this...
Time Machine is not a reliable backup solution.
I used to dedicate a drive to it. However, it meant keeping
the drive active and when it kicked in, it took up processor
resources. Didn't help that it was a USB drive which was...
I concur with Dr. Posten and Dr. Tannehill.
This Western DIgital Drive with USB 3.0 connectivity is fine.
I just bought one myself. You'll need to format it in
Mac OS X Journal when you plug it in. If you don't know
how, we can post instructions. Takes less than 3 minutes...
Tony,
Know what? When in doubt always check Amazon Reviews
Reviews don't look particularly great for this.
How much space do you really need?
You can get Dropbox (2GB of data) or Skydrive (5GB of data)
that allows you to share content across devices for free...
Tony,
Bad news. Sena Cases just got back to me:

Update for Case #73221 - "Cannot Apply Winning Coupon Code"
Dear Ronald,
Thank you for...
Hmmm...
Well, let me be the first to congratulate you on your purchase.
With that 128GB SSD drive you are in for a real shock. I think
both you and your wife will be thanking all of us for talking you
into it.
Listen...
Want to give you a gift.
I won a Macbook Air...
Tony,
This has really turned into a rather frustrating
decision-making experience for you both.
You only need the additional software if you
want to take full advantage of Blu-ray since
(as you are aware) OS X does not support it.
I thought perhaps you would do all of...

Nope. The music is on my iPod. I just need to access my Music
on my desktop or iMac when I am adding more.

You know what? If that gets you into an SSD drive, that's fine.
As long as you are mainly using it for mail, web surfing and a...

Bingo!
This past week I bought a Western Digital 1TB drive to put my iTunes library on.
(My review on Amazon sits near the top of the most recent entries).
So far it is working great for the purpose I intended it for and it leaves me more
room on my SSD drive.
Again...I am agreeing with Sam here.
If you want the ultimate laptop for your needs,
you want the AIR with the SSD drive.
You won't miss the optical drive. You will
appreciate the portability, near-weightlessness,
and screaming bootup and execution speeds
of the SSD drive...
Dave,
Let me add one more thing...
For me, the most important factors in choosing a laptop is
slim form factor and an SSD drive.
I will never buy another computer without an SSD drive.
My first experience with these drives on my Macbook Pro
has made me a "believer."...
Hey Tony!
I can't speak for the AIR but I think it might be perfect for you.
Unless you are doing some heavy-duty CPU-instensive stuff, I think the
Macbook could be overkill. I have the new 15" MPB Retina and it's really
overkill, but I do love it.
As for the lack of DVD...
