This brings back memories. I remember that book very well. Back in the olden days pre-home computers, my local library had that book in the reference only section, and I browsed through it all the time when I was there, and I even made photocopies of a few sections.
The drum bit (if it existed) is also missing on the Sony DVDs, so its not Millcreek's fault. I personally don't remember the drum bit, so I can't confirm or deny it. I checked my videotapes that I recorded from TV years ago but its not there either. I can only speculate that maybe Jeannie was...
I saw that coupon, too. It's a good deal if you don't have the show already, but it's not worth it to me since I already own the DVD sets. There's no reason for me to buy a Blu-ray set if the picture quality is not true HD.
This is from Millcreek's website regarding playability issues of their DVDs or Blu-rays:
Please contact [email protected] with additional details including setup of your home entertainment system and proof of purchase, OR You can reach Mill Creek Entertainment Monday through Friday...
Another positive review! 4 out of 5 stars for video! LOL I guess the reviewer never saw the newly remastered streaming versions online.
"Mill Creek has made the series available in HD on disc for the first time, and it looks and sounds great!"...
Here's a bit of trivia some people might not know: The I Dream of Jeannie: 15 Years Later reunion movie was directed by William Asher (Elizabeth Montgomery's ex-husband who directed and produced Bewitched)! He also directed the Green Acres reunion movie which was even worse.
There seems to be some confusion among some people about all the different DVD releases, so I thought it would be fun to go down memory lane to see how many times this series has been released over the years. With all these releases, I don't think this show will ever be in danger of going out of...
For those unfamiliar with the TV series, Hazel: the first season of Hazel was indeed filmed in black and white, except for that one episode filmed in color. The plot for that episode had to do with Mr. B buying Hazel her own personal television set for her bedroom. Mr. B allocated a certain...
Update: Now if you go to Roku, they only have season 4-5 available, but the prints aren't 16:9 like the first three seasons were, They are 4:3 and don't look HD. The picture quality looks like my DVD's so maybe the last 2 seasons weren't remastered in HD after all???
Yes. Sony used like 4 discs per season, while Millcreek used 3 discs per season. Sony had an average of 6 or 7 episodes per disc, while Millcreek put 10 episodes on a disc.
The Millcreek releases were considered a cheaper budget release aimed at those consumers who hadn't already purchased the...
They only offer a few seasons at a time, but they've had seasons 4 and 5 on their channel before. They also currently only have seasons 5-8 of Bewitched, but I've watched seasons 1-4 on their channel in the past, too.
Who knows, I might be tempted to buy the blu-ray set if it comes down to $30...
I already cancelled my pre-order since I already own the DVDs, and I rarely watch those as it is. I just don't feel it's necessary for me to double-dip for a minor, mediocre improvement. I'd rather watch it on Roku.
Some sources are reporting that the I Dream of Jeannie: 15 Years Later reunion movie is on the new Blu-Ray set!

UPDATE: I took this screen capture of the disc from Cereal at Midnight's youtube review, and you can clearly see the reunion...
I own Millcreek's Charlie's Angels complete series set on Blu, and I'm generally satisfied with it. They also put 6 hour-long episodes on one disc, which is the equivalent of 12 half-hour episodes (one disc even had 7 episodes). It probably could've looked even better if they added one more...
Deep Discount.com currently has it for $42.99!!! That's a great deal! I'm still going with amazon because I have rewards points there I need to use. Hopefully, the release date won't be pushed back again.
P.S. Does amazon do price matching??? Maybe I should send them the link...
According to their product page, the running time on Millcreek's upcoming Blu Ray set is 57 hr 59 min. The running time on their previous DVD set was 57 hr 50 min.
There is a 9 minute difference. Hopefully, this is a good sign, although, I don't know what the extra 9 minutes could be.
I don't know if you'd consider this an extra, but Millcreek did include the 2011 Charlie's Angels reboot with their Blu-Ray of the original series. Maybe Millcreek was trying to find a way to entice buyers who already had the DVDs to double-dip?
I don't think anyone can answer that right now because it hasn't been released yet and the reviews aren't in. However, the show was recently remastered in HD so the picture should be sharper than the regular DVDs already out there. I don't remember any major edits or syndicated episodes with the...
She's an impersonator. Here is her website where people can hire her for events: https://instinctmusic.com.au/live-entertainment/i-dream-of-jeannie/ The photo in the top header is from her website gallery.
Great news! Can't wait to watch Jeannie in HD. I really want Bewitched, but it seems like a possibility now! I know some people don't care for Millcreek, but I'm glad someone is putting these Sony shows out in HD on Blu-Ray.
If they really want fans to double dip, they should include the...
