77 Sunset Strip / Hawaiian Eye, etc.

I love that Elizabeth Montgomery is mentioned in the article as a future guest star. This was a year before Bewitched premiered. She may have not been a household name at the time, but it proves that she was beginning to get recognition as a respected actress. She had also earned an Emmy...

Someone asked a while back if MeTV+ was editing the show. Here's a youtube video of Connie Stevens singing the Hawaiian Eye theme from Season 3, Episode 28 - An Echo of Honor. MeTV+ showed this episode last night, and the first 44 seconds of the song--mostly the instrumental intro-- was cut, and...

Here is a screen cap I took of one of my recordings. What is the proper term used when the picture has black bars on all 4 sides?? Is it called shadow boxing? I wonder if its the station or the cable provider who's doing this. Not all the channels are like this. Antenna TV is full frame. I...

My cable company (Spectrum) finally added MeTV+ to their lineup so now I can watch Hawaiian Eye every night on KHTVCD channels 15 or 1244!!! The only downside is the channel has black bars on all 4 sides making the picture smaller (the other channels aren't like that) so I have to press the zoom...

Good to know! I'm pretty sure that's the way DECADES is broadcast in Los Angeles OTA on KTTV channel 11.4. Bars on all sides, and the picture would be clearer if it were 720p

My prediction came true!! I just checked the DECADES schedule for the upcoming weeks, and Hawaiian Eye is on the schedule for a weekend binge starting on April 9!!!!

77 Sunset Strip / Hawaiian Eye, etc.

That's great news! I did a re-scan of my antenna, and I still can't get that channel! I tried moving my antenna around, too. I must live too far away, or I need a stronger antenna. Luckily, I do get the DECADES channel, so hopefully they'll do a weekend binge of those shows (they just did a...

I'm in, but do we know if the other series are being offered for syndication? If not, they should be. I know WB had them at one point on their streaming site and they looked good.

If you like Route 66, they also filmed an episode at that amusement park. Season 2 | Episode 29 "Between Hello and Goodbye".

I looked ahead at metv's schedule and it shows they will be airing season 6/episode 6 on 9/16. I hope this is true because it is an Elizabeth Montgomery episode and I need to upgrade. Have they re-run season 6 before...

If streaming is considered the same as broadcast, I wonder about residuals. If the show was never syndicated until now (via streaming), then wouldn't they have to honor the old contracts. I think I read back in the 1960s, that the actors only got paid for the first 3 or 5 cycles of re-runs.

I'm guessing the music rights fees are more expensive if they put the episodes on DVD. Maybe the fees are different for streaming video.

I visited their website today, and they are calling it: The Complete series! Season 1: 33 episodes Season 2: 38 episodes Season 3: 38 episodes Season 4: 24 episodes Total: 133 episodes

I enjoyed the episode, Sierra, because of the change of setting and the guest stars, Sherry Jackson and Anthony George.

I watched that episode for the first time the other day. It really held my interest and the plot was simple enough to follow so you didn't need any dialogue.
