When I watch a film after it has received so many awards, my expectations are very high. I liked it but I didn't think it was that great. I love musicals and the fact that it was filmed in 2.55 CinemaScope so that was a plus but, the story and characters I just couldn't get into that much.

I could be wrong but I don't think the CinemaScope logo was used in The Robe. It just didn't fit with the music that was played over the opening credits. Probably was used for How to Marry a Millionaire, which was completed before The Robe, but released after.

Haven't seen this logo in long time on newer films.

When I was young I thought that all Canadians spoke French. The nun teachers, my parents and all their relatives talked French. Boy was I wrong!
