For the 4th of July weekend we watched:

Crawdaddy's post inspired me to spin the Fighting Sullivan's, a movie I haven't seen in quite awhile. I then watched a film that @Ernest had posted about last year, and is available on Amazon Prime. Danger Close: The Battle of Long Tan is a powerful film, and I highly recommend it.

Happy New Year to everyone here. I'm trying to decide what my first film of 2020 will be. So many films. I don't ever recall even hearing about this one. While it won't be my first film of this year, I think i will be looking out for this one. Sounds interesting.

I picked up quite a few blu's from Warner with their 4 for $44 sale, and picked Jonny Quest up along with the sale items. Brought back great memories, and looked really good. I am going to try to ration out the episodes and not binge.

Yesterday I purchased a stack of Criterion's at Barnes and Noble. The first one I unwrapped and spun was... Great presentation, great movie, and I also enjoyed the extras.

I received my first batch of Disney Exclusives for joining DMC, and picked this one to watch first. I thought the transfer looked great. Always wanted to watch this, missed it in theaters originally and held off for a release in OAR.

I was jonesing for some Ozu last night.

Last night I watched the Disney Club Exclusive Blu-ray disc of Pollyanna, and really enjoyed it. I then went to the Vault Disney DVD and watched the extras, as the blu is bare-bones. Great stuff!

This is a favorite of mine, never understood why it didn't do better on initial release. I have to confess that this was the first time I listened to Homer Hickam's commentary track, and I highly recommend it. Homer did an outstanding job, and he gave some great color and insight to the film.

Let us know what you think of The Book of Life, Matt. I really liked the look and the story was okay, but I felt the choice of songs were poor. Last night we watched The Arrival: and today it is Noir Alley and then some football.
