IMO, after watching "Minari" and "Nomadland" the last couple of days, I think "Minari" should have won Best Picture and Viola Davis should have won Best Actress.
You seem to be a little putout by those that don't share your opinion of this year's Oscar ceremony. If other people want to get angry or hold a grudge against the Oscars, that's their right to do so. You don't have to agree with it, but being confrontational about it, isn't cool either.
This will be the first Oscar ceremony in a very long time that I don't watch or even record to watch some of it later on. I just don't have much interest in award ceremonies this year.

I have no issues with such movies as it's aimed at a certain demographic audience that you're not obviously a part of.:biggrin: By the way, it's not my cup of tea either.:D
Even if you don't think his performance was worthy enough, there is no way sentimentally isn't going to be the overall factor in that particular category. We've seen it beforehand in prior Oscar years.
