Just a heads up! These aren't Paramount Presents releases, but on June 29th, Paramount is releasing the OOP "Le Mans" and never released on Blu-ray "In Harm's Way". The Amazon links in the Pre-Order Listing aren't active yet, but should be by the end of this week.
Yesterday at lunchtime, I sat down and watched the iTunes HD digital in its entirety. I thought the colors in this Technicolor film looked fine and was very pleased with the stream of VistaVision movie. IMO, this is a solid movie with some clever dialogue. It's not a laugh a minute comedy...
I don't mind you asking for my opinion. I'm just not comfortable recommending comedies for the reasons I stated. What I would say it's one of Bogart's last movies and has a terrific cast. Hopefully, Paramount will get around to releasing "The Desperate Hours" (1955) on Blu-ray too. IMO, an...
Ron,
I have both of these digitally on iTunes. I need to watch them in their entirety especially We're No Angels so I can checkout the quality of the stream. I won't recommend that movie because it's a comedy with some darkness. I'm not comfortable recommending comedies due to the extreme...
I don't know if these are Paramount Presents titles or not, but many of us have been waiting on Blu-ray releases for the listed two movies below and it's finally happening in November. The Amazon links aren't live yet, but the will be in the next week or so.
We're No Angels: 11-10-20

Edit: I...
AFI lists it as 1.85 ratio. The movie was released in 1954, but filmed in the first half of 1953, in which production was halted due to Vivien Leigh having a breakdown and they recast her role with Taylor in late March.
How about some John Wayne movies. ;) Come on, I'm not even talking about those Batjac titles. How about "The Shootist", "The Sons of Katie Elder", "In Harm's Way" or "Donovan's Reef" among some others.:D
It's simple for me as it is much more difficult to tell the difference between a Blu-ray disc and a stream of the same title. Also, studios are offering 4K digitals on many movie titles they just had Blu-ray releases with the former offering a superior video presentation. It's unlike what it...
I wouldn't be surprise to see this pandemic have a negative effect on future Paramount titles coming out on disc. I hope I'm wrong, but what's happening now can't be good for the disc market.
