That's not to say they didn't show it 1.85, but it wasn't filmed in that aspect ratio. The movie came out a year after filming because Taylor replaced Vivien Leigh after a mental breakdown.
I'm purchasing that film noir box set too even though I already have three of those five titles on Blu-ray. Those Olive Blu-rays are 10-11 years old, so this upcoming box set is derived from 4K scans done in 2021. The fourth title is Beware, My Lovely which will replace an old TCM DVD-R...
It's more of an observation than any ire on my part. It doesn't bother me at all, since it doesn't affect me because I already have the Imprint and Criterion Blu-rays along with the Paramount 4K/UHD. I'm good!
I already looked at them. Through the first 20 minutes "Golden Boy" looks really good. The other two titles I only watched the first 5-6 minutes they looked fine too. There are no extras and "Storm Center" is in 1.78 ratio.
I edited my post and deleted some posts because it became apparent that my offhand comment sidetracked this thread. My apologies because this thread is about Via Vision releases.
Well, it's Columbus Day here in the States. So instead of my Via Vision order being delivered today, I have to wait for tomorrow to get it because of a Federal Holiday.
I just received my first update via email from Australia Post that my Via Vision order has landed in Los Angeles and is awaiting clearance. USPS Informed Delivery also updated indicated it's in LA.
I just found out through USPS Informed Delivery that I have a package coming from Melbourne, Australia. I'm assuming this is my Via Vision package. At least, that's what I think it is.:)
Great, now I have a second International order I have to worry about because I haven't received any email from Australia Post with a tracking number after receiving the shipping confirmation email from Via Vision.
Some September titles were delayed. The Columbia titles Golden Boy, I am the Law and Storm Center are now just shipping out of Australia. While Amazon and Deep Discount is showing an October, 7th release date.
Yeah, I know about DD as posted that DD link in one of my prior posts. You confuse me in one of your prior posts talking about the Australian dollar value when it's still going to cost you $60.00.
Has that pricing always been that high as I thought that disc was much cheaper a few months ago?
That disc is out of stock at many retailers. If it's in-stock, it's pricing has been gouged to $60.00+. To buy this at a reasonable price, we can only hope that Kino releases it.

Yup, it's $17.99 on Amazon which is quite cheaper than Imprint's Blu-ray.
The Rose Tattoo's HD digital on iTunes looks lovely so this isn't a surprise as I suspect this might be released here in the States by Kino. The same with Come Back, Little Sheba.
Warning Shot has already been announced...
For those interested in "Nobody's Fool" that Imprint is releasing next month. Kino is also releasing it on Blu-ray as well as 4K/UHD disc in the near future. I'm thinking Kino's releases will be out this Fall, since last year, the streaming services had it in 4K/Dolby Vision.
Kino...
I don't think so. I did buy the Essential Film Noir Collection Volume 1 from DD with a 15% off coupon that made it cheaper than buying it directly from Imprint. With Kino's new agreement with Paramount, I think some of those Paramount titles, if not all of them will be released by Kino in the...
