Just remember that part of the reason why it took Newton this long to sign was because teams were unable to determine how healthy he is with their own doctors taking a look at him. The pandemic interfere with that process until recently. I wouldn't be surprise if it comes out today or later...
It really isn't that difficult just hire the right GM, support him and get out of his way while remaining patient as it takes time to build a good organization up from the ground level.
I've always said that poor ownership is the worst thing that can ever happen to a sports fan. I say that from experience as a long-suffering Knicks fan.
I'm a Raiders fan, but damn! It's amazing how the public allows themselves to be taken advantage of like this with PSL's. No wonder businesses think of us as sheep.

I heard Steve Levy for the lead announcer and my home boy Dan Orlovsky and Louis Riddick as color analysts. Both of those guys are much better at analysis than Booger. Booger is more of a talking head as analysis isn't his skill set.
They let go of the MNF lead announcer too so it just wasn't Booger's fault. Both of them are being reassign more to their talents. I think Booger got a bad rap as he's better suited to doing their ESPN talk shows than color on a football game.
Don Shula passed away at 90 years old. Even though, I never rooted for any of the teams he coached, he was one of the best HC in the NFL. May he R.I.P.
An interesting article that shines light on how many top first round picks might still be busts considering their draft position.

So much for you guys forecasting where Dalton is going to sign because he just signed with the Cowboys and I didn't see anybody here suggesting that team.;)
Freaking Raiders had their choice of receivers while the Giants had their choice of offensive linemen. Both of my teams choses the player not ranked as high as others that the so-called NFL pundits have with their position rankings. I hope the pundits are wrong and my teams are right, but...
You're right about the three day draft. However, I'm liking this virtual draft compared to the last few drafts as it seems to be moving fairly quickly compared to those drafts. I'm just waiting around to see who the Raiders draft with their first pick.
Well, now we have the pundits on ESPN saying the Bucs are now the favorites in the NFC. Call me skeptical about a 43 year old QB and an unretired TE, who's best football years are behind him. If they make the playoffs, I would be impressed, but I never bet against Father Time.
