It was a brief message, she didn't mention their prior relationship because the gist of that message was to protect that droid. I don't see any continuity problems with it.
I think we need to wait and see how the final three episodes unfold in regard to Obi-wan regaining his strength and Force abilities. Right now, he's out of sorts and frankly is only a shell of his former self.
I've seen some pretty large lapses of logic in Hitchcock films and he definitely was a man among boys when it comes to directors. By the way, this series is being directed by a woman so we should upgrade our terminology.
The filmmakers goal is to entertain their audience which is why certain plot points have holes in them or don't make sense, but are still left in the movie or show. The writers and filmmakers are well aware of those issues, I'm sure they've debated them and whether to change them. However...
I used to think that way. However, over the last several years, I finally realized that there are more horrible people among us than I originally thought there was in my younger days. I've lost hope for the human race because people in general have forgotten the difference between right and wrong.
