I watched this 3-D Blu-ray again yesterday and forgot how intense this movie was when it came to their action sequences. The film's premise is crazy, but it's a very entertaining movie with a really good 3-D presentation.
Ron,
Over the next few months, I will be watching some of the top 3-D titles because I'm replacing my 3-D capable OLED in my main HT setup with a larger and improved 2023 OLED. Not having 3-D capability in my main HT is an adjustment. Therefore, I'll be moving the old OLED into a spare room...
I never said anything about it being a great film. As to you being singled out for a response, it's called a forum in which people respond to other posts. It's not like I didn't respond to other posts besides your own.
I revisited my 3-D Blu-ray of "Jack the Giant Slayer" and forgot how good the 3-D was in this film. A very enjoyable experience as I really liked this film too.
I'm going to let Ron explain his post as I think you're misunderstanding his point. Those of us that post regularly in this thread buy 3-D titles internationally including Ron.
Let's not forget that Ron has been a 3-D advocate since he started this thread nine years ago. Ron simply hasn't been impressed with many of the latest 3-D titles in regard to the 3-D presentation due to the lack of pop-out.
Basically more blood-letting. Thanks for sharing as I have the Director's Cut on Blu-ray too and was contemplating revisiting it again as I couldn't remember the differences between it and the theatrical version.
I viewed the 3-D BD of "Beowulf" this morning and it's an outstanding 3-D presentation which reminded me a little of the 3-D presentation back at that IMAX theater in 2007.
When the nearest IMAX theater to me opened it up, the first movie it showed was Beowulf in 3-D. So this won't be my first viewing of it in that format.
I bought that same disc back in 2017, and have never watched it. This week I start my 3-D challenge in which I watch at least one 3-D movie each week until the end of the year. This will be the first one I watch for this challenge.
It's one of the reasons why I stopped buying Warner 3-D releases. I've basically given up on 3-D and double-dipping. Why should I reward them by buying it in 3-D then 4K/UHD.
