Actually, I think it's going on 2-3 years since Scott MacQueen finished that restoration before his retirement from UCLA Film and Television Archive in 2021.
Not really considering the extra cost of producing 4K/UHD discs and the runtime of each of the five films.

Raging Bull or Rocky are about as different boxing movies as you can find. Rocky is a boxing fantasy while The Raging Bull is much more realistic (boxing-wise) as it's a true story about a real boxer that was a despicable human being.
Also, a film scholar with a sense of humor that points out some things that might not work in the film, but does so with some humor. Eddie Muller is a master of such commentary. His Film Noir Foundation collegues Alan Rode is good in that regard while Imogen Sara Smith is excellent and does...
If you're talking about the actors/directors that were involved in the making of the movies, such commentaries are impossible to do now, when it comes to films like "Love Affair" (1939) and (Written on the Wind" (1956).:)
To be fair, you don't think the following post from you could be interpreted as a little snarky too? Furthermore, let's be honest that many of our members are also posters on that other forum. We try our best to keep things civil here.
Gotcha! I know some will disagree with the following because they're satisfied with 1080p. I guess those of us that want the best that home video can offer audio and video presentations-wise is screwed then when it's a Criterion release derived from a 4K scan/transfer. :(
That's not what I wanted to read as I find that unfortunate for those of us that want to watch these movies on the best looking and sounding home video formats. If I had my way, I would drop DVD for 4K disc.
