    To put it simply: All MGM titles made after the Turner buyout belong to MGM themselves. Any films before that time belong to AOL Time Warner.

    During the mid 80's, Ted Turner bought all of MGM's film library, which means that virtually all MGM films made up to that point are owned by Turner Entertainment (now a part of AOL Time Warner).
