SamC: I was going to put my PCChips board in my car for the same use, but I kinda killed it testing some memory :)...
I swear I must be the ONLY person to have had a PC Chips mobo, AND a Cyrix processor (which was even overclocked from 233 to 266!) which was solid as a rock! They don;t have a good reputation. The one I had was right in the middle of the 'fake pipeline cache' fiasco- anyone remember that?
I've got the 266E, and apart from a dodgy temperature monitoring problem (trying to work out if it's hardware or not) it was the easiest install ever (and I've had some easy and some complete nightmare installs!).
I persoanlly like Abit, and detest Gigabyte. It may be a tad unfair to critisise...
