Maybe you don't purchase alot of Kino titles but only about 60% have just a trailer and a commentary but the rest have more and sometimes alot more it just depends on the title just like any other label. When Kino 1st started 6 or 7 years ago they didn't have alot of extras on all their titles...
I have a few Via Vision releases and don't find them to have any more extras than Kino and VIA Vision have alot of transfers that are problematic so even more of a risk for expensive titles. If it was someone like Indicator I would probably bite and their prices are a little cheaper.
It was that price at deep discount but dropped. But anything over $80 is way too much for me for this. I already have one of these films and I don't generally pay over $20 a film anymore. Its very likely that Kino will release at least some of these they already released Arabian Knights.
If the Adventures set didn't cost a whopping $180.00 for 5 films I would have purchased it. I already have Kino's nice version of Arabian Knights so that makes this even more expensive. I have no doubt Omar Khayyam and a couple others in the set will be released by Kino within the next year for...
I second your Universal adventure list and would like to add the following all with Jeff Chandler:
Yankee Pasha
Yankee Buccaneer
Away all Boats
War Arrow
The most interesting selling point for The Lady Vanishes 1979 for many film fans is that it was the last theatrical release for the original Hammer Films. Quite a few hammer collectors including me will purchase it for that reason alone.
Yeah for some reason Imprint seems to think all Vistavision titles are supposed to be 1.37:1. I hope they correct this as I was sold on this set despite already having Arabian Nights on Blu Ray. But this is probably a deal breaker considering the high cost of their releases.
Yes just 2 years ago we were still wondering why this had never been released on Blu Ray yet. Now it seems like every 2 months there is another release of this film.
Already have the US release of Season 5 of Avengers and the excellent U.K. releases of Season 4 and 6 and a fraction of the cost of Imprint so I'm good. I believe they are all still available.
Same thing happened with their release of Bridges at Toko-Ri. They just used an ancient full screen master instead of a new one in its original 1.85:1 ratio.
Yeah I have the old Hammer releases too but they are around 8 years old so I am hoping there may be a little improvement picture wise. The set has alot of good extra features which is what sold me as a big Hammer fan.
I'm in for the Hammer set and The Silver Screams set if the 2 1957 films are OAR widescreen. Normally that would be a no brainer but I know Imprint recently released The Bridge at Toko- Ri in Full Screen instead of OAR widescreen. This will be my 1st Imprint titles although I still plan to pick...
