But Titanic was only 1 movie not 4. The risk was big enough when this was two sequels but seemed worth the risk but now that it has taken so long increasing this to 4 movies without seeing what the 2nd film will do at the box office seems misguided.

Agreed I liked the movie a lot because of the 3D when it came out but have never revisited it and probably never will unless I get a 3D TV. I think a sequel would have been a big hit had it come out 2-4 years after the original but its been 8 years now and the first sequel is not to be released...
