Anyone join the DISNEY MOVIE CLUB?

Sad to see them go but I too joined to get their classic live action films on blu ray which for the past 4 years they have released almost nothing, not that the amount of releases was great before. I decline every month so I guess I don't have to complete my 2nd membership. I wanted to buy more...

Anyone join the DISNEY MOVIE CLUB?

I don't believe its sales numbers as much as the age of the people selecting the titles they release. I believe this is true for both the Disney Movie Club and Disney+. Early Exclusives were nearly all classic era live action they obviously sold well or they wouldn't have continued releasing...

Since 2018 they have released very few of their classic live action films. The exclusives lined started great and then dissolved into mostly 1990's and 2000's films of little interest to collectors of classic Walt Disney. The line does appear to be dead now. You would think because of Disney+...

That's great news and leaves great hope for Make Mine Music/Melody Time being released uncut.

Anyone join the DISNEY MOVIE CLUB?

Yes I would buy any of the 70's Disney titles even the lesser ones at least they have that unique Disney feel and feel like Disney movies. The movies from the late 80's on don't have that and feel like dime a dozen comedies that could have been made by any studio. Which is why I still think...

Anyone join the DISNEY MOVIE CLUB?

Yes a Mod program which is not too far from the what the exclusives are is a perfect fit for their 50's-70's live action titles. I still think that sell through pricing at retail stores which will get impulse buys for the 90's titles is the best way to go. Most of the target audience for those...

Anyone join the DISNEY MOVIE CLUB?

They have released no 50's -70's classic Disney movies this year other than The Last Flight of Noahs Ark(1980) in January. They went with late 80's and 90's catalog titles and I think the sales were much lower than they expected because now we are getting nothing. These titles would have been...

So it looks like they killed the Disney archive line by going modern with it. No new releases since July. Because of the Archive Live Action exclusives I was making a purchase almost every 2 months from 2014 thru 2016 but haven't purchased anything from them this year. Sales must not have been...

Good news on Bambi. I will definitely be picking this one up.

Anyone join the DISNEY MOVIE CLUB?

Wow we will never come close to getting all their 50's-70's films on Blu with only 6-7 titles a year and if they are now including more modern films with this line like Operation Dumbo Drop and Cool Runnings we will get even less titles. Call me disappointed.

Great news for me as I missed the first one. But the one I am most anxiously awaiting a reissue of is Pinocchio.

Question where do you guys go on the Disney site to see coming soon releases? I can never see the Exclusive titles until they are available to order. Even if I search they will not come up.

Anyone join the DISNEY MOVIE CLUB?

Me too and I haven't regretted it for a second. No hassle at all declining the selection of the month now that you get an email and then just go to the website and click one button to decline. Nothing like the hassle of the old club way of having to mail a card back every month. They must be...

I have that excellent book as well. Since the first Davy Crockett film was 3 TV episodes about 120 minutes without commercials and Disney introductions. The theatrical film is missing about 30 minutes. The second film is based on only 2 tv episodes so I believe that one is complete in the movie.

Looking forward to this one. I have the treasures tin with the complete television episodes of these two. I assume these will be the theatrical versions which will be nice to have on Blu.

I hope we see some more Live Action exclusives soon. They have a long way to go. They could easily release 2 a month for the next 4-5 years.

And "In Search of the Castaways" I think we will see the original Parent Trap for sure. Hopefully her other Disney 1960's films make it out as well.

Agreed The Herbie movies are still well known. The other 3 movies are somewhat forgotten films and not really known to those born after 1990 so Disney probably doesn't consider the sales potential of those as high as other films they have yet to release.

Unfortunately it looks like I will have to use the phone. Which is not a good option for me calling these companies waiting on hold and giving all the information usually takes 20-30 minutes and since I'm at work during the weekday its not a good option for me. Not sure why so many other sites...

Has anyone had problems with Customer service with this club. I'm kind of shocked from the lack of response I have received since it is a Disney company. I just joined and received my initial 7 blu's, one of them came with a scratch that causes it to freeze. I sent a reply on the service contact...
