I guess he does Not like to replace the old rotted DVD's with Digital HD versions ? They look Much better than the DVD's ! :) That's what I do. ;) Plus you save room on the shelves ! :D
I bought the Digital of Return of Dr. X last year on Amazon Prime. I Never owned the DVD. It looks Great. :D $10.00 only 62 Minutes long. Many Bogart titles I bought last year.
Get the Digital version. That's what I do when the DVD's Freeze. I got a bunch of WB Digital movies on Amazon last year. All 1930's and 1940's in HD 1080p ! :D They look Much better than those old DVD's.
I Have Little Giant on Digital HD it looks Nice. :) Brother Orchid I do not have but you can get it in Digital HD for $8.00 on Amazon. I threw out my old WB DVD's that were Freeze Rotted and replaced them with the HD Digital versions. I have a Bunch of WB Cagney, Bogart, & Robinson Digital...
No worries with the Digital copy. :D Only problem will be if your Power or Internet goes out while your watching the movie. As for the Extra Features, You can't have everything. :)
I also just began a few months ago buying Digital versions on Amazon, VUDU, & Movies Anywhere. :) I replaced some old WB DVD's I had that went Bad. :( They would only play up to a certain point and Freeze ! Right now I have 64 Classic Digital Movies ! :D
I bought it from Amazon 2 weeks ago. At $4.99 in HD it looks Much Better than the old DVD for sure. It's a very good movie. Bogart, Raft, and Holden ? You can't go wrong.
Mine still plays fine, thank God. Very Good movie with Bogart, Raft, and Holden. Amazon has the Digital HD for $4.99 ! If my DVD goes I will get it on Digital. They look Much better than the DVD's.
My old DVD of G-Men rotted last year with High Sierra ! :( Amazon has them on steaming to buy. I never bought any movie yet on streaming or digital. Probably should start getting some. High Sierra should have been released on Bluray long ago ! ??
I Lost 2 WB DVD's in 2020 ! G Men 1935 and High Sierra 1941 Both froze up and would not move. I check my old DVD's by just pressing the fast forward X3. If the movie goes from start to End with No Pause or Freeze it's Good ! Very Simple.
Two dvd's of mine Freeze Up. G Men (1935) and High Sierra (1941) I did a fast forward through a bunch of my WB & WBArchive classic dvd's and just these 2 Freeze and stop. All the others play through fine. I can always buy them on Amazon digital if I want. I Wish they were on Bluray !!
