My collegues in Germany do, not 15% but they always left something. That struck me as odd, my German teacher always said that the tip was added into the bill and to expect shitty service, I found that not to be the case. As a sidenote, it's amazing how much better/different the experience was...
Along the lines of what Larry said, if the kitchen messes up, but the waiter handles it very well, they'll get a HUGE tip. If I were a server I'd pray for mix ups :laugh: ok, probly not.
I see. It's always interesting in other countries. I had always heard people don't tip well in the UK, or often not at all (from a friend that grew up in the UK) I left a guy a few euros on a cheap meal and he seemed pissed this did make me laugh

Oh, noooo no touching. This would be a very very bad thing to me, your tip would get cut in half. I think the best advice you can get is from other HTF'ers just by asking what they prefer. I'm easy, if you're friendly, keep my glass full, and don't pester me too much you're about guaranteed...
