you were Mike, but do bear in mind the posters on here were quite happily discussing the TV show Peyton Place in the first place before being what could be easily taken as; 'told' about continuing to still discuss the subject etc - quote; 'I Don't feel the need to post about them over and over...

That is fair enough of course - while let's also remember to STOP all the negative 'rebuking' style remarks about people who were indeed discussing those films and TV shows over and over etc - surely that 'discussion' is the point of a discussion forum in the first place ? if people wish to...

my answer to that is fine DON'T post about them then...but equally always allow others to do so if they wish stifling - perhaps quite unintentionally - people's desire to talk openly about the shows they hope will come out on DVD won't achieve anything either will it ? - probably just irritate...

perhaps a good show should come out so that people can enjoy decent acting, directing and storylines ? .....and maybe past creative talent hopefully just might inspire people to aim to achieve higher quality television and the arts in general today if you forever just measure EVERYTHING in...

wish PP were released in full, it's a great show ! I keep being reminded of it when I keep seeing PP stars in various guest star roles in other shows reruns - Dorothy Malone in 'Streets of San Francisco', Tim O'Connor in 'Gunsmoke', Christopher Connolly in 'Ironside', Dan Dureya in 'Bonanza'...

Sorry to hear that Charles - went through it myself a few years ago - and it's sad to hear of another key cast member of PP leaving us too. all the more reason the rest of the TV show plus the later TV Movies SHOULD come out on DVD ...!

yes I'm likewise - awaiting the final segment of 'The Bold Ones' ('New Doctors' out on 1 March - hopefully !) Good question ! - Allison was a major character (in the book, film & TV show) and her relationship with Rodney Harrington was a pivotal cornerstone of the show the writers had to 're-write' the thing very quickly when Mia Farrow opted out and the show never seemed the same thereafter (tho'...

Yeah a great show ! - I checked, I have 'part one and two' on DVD (sixty odd b/w episodes) which may be seson one not one & two I didn't know Betty Anderson even had a father in the show & Henry Beckman (who I've now spotted in 'The Fugitive' a couple of times too) gave a superb portrayal of...

Excellent article ! I'm just going through season one - Henry Beckman was great as Betty Anderson's somewhat unstable father - I never remembered him from back in the sixties as I was a child then and only really saw it from later on after his character had left the show. Here in the UK it...
