I switched the hdmi port on the tv to a non arc port. I also switched the tv audio out to optical cable. I also made sure to update the receiver setting too. I now have surround on all of the services. Im still not sure in what I did to cause the issue but it has been resolved!!

I can switch back to optical and test it. I replaced all the hdmi cable with high speed ones recently.
