They did mention Thawne a whole bunch in the previous episode and this one, but I was still not expecting him to show up. This is a slight payoff from the Season 5 finale.
Despite the ridiculousness of the personal lightning bolt fight, I was overall happy with the episode.

And then what they did regarding this in the most recent episode makes me wonder just what these writers are smoking. To my surprise the writers of this episode were the same as those for "The People V. Killer Frost". Did they have this in mind the whole time and just decided to undermine...
It was essentially what was the Season 6 finale, so not a good episode to just jump in on after a long break. I'd suggest giving it a try with the next episode which should start some new plotlines.
The consequence is she returned everyone and went back to the Mirror Universe. They could have tried to throw her into some ARGUS jail and doomed everyone who had been sent to the Mirror Universe, but that would not have been a good outcome.
Nice season 6 finale there. I am glad that most of the Season 6 loose ends have been wrapped up now.
I was surprised that they also wrote out the new/old Wells so quickly. So, perhaps my original thought that Tom Cavanaugh would mostly be playing Zoom is still going to happen.
Yes, this was definitely an episode from last season. It had the feel of one that should be episode 20 or so. I am hoping that they don't drag out those plotlines longer than originally planned for then.
They showed it at the DCFanDome Flash panel yesterday. They said about 85% of episode 20 had been shot and that is where most of that footage comes from.
