My new build is the Negatron...old system was torn down and mostly sold. New setup is in Mexico and started in 2018.

I just got my 2 signs for the HT back from a friend who made the frames for me. They came out great but one of them got scratched. :( When I order more signs for other components I will most likely order a replacement for the DTS-X one.

The HT is pretty close to being completed... We now have our 4 Atmos speakers installed, and 90% of the ceiling, and wall panels have been completed. Today I also received our DTS-X, Atmos, etc. wall plaques back from a friend who made frames for them all. I will post some pics up when I decide...

I am still working on finishing the rest of the wall panels, and getting the Atmos channels installed...hopefully it won't be much longer before it is completed.

Update: All of the Klipsch HIPs are now gone, and have been replaced with JBL 8340As. I also have one pair of 8320s for Atmos channels so far... I am still looking for the right deal on one more pair. I also have replaced the Lexicon, and Sherbourn amp with a Yamaha MX-5000 amp, and tomorrow my...

Been a while since I updated my setup... We now have a Krell Showcase 7.1 preamp (replaced the Denon 4520), which will be replaced in the next couple of months too. The MiniDSPs have been replaced with a Xilica XP-4080 crossover. The Yamaha P2500s amps have been replaced with a Lexicon NT-512...

Today's update... We have the entrance to the pond almost done. The next part is to get the Ipe railing completed. Once that is done the HT will get it's finishing touches, and then we will finish off the pond area with Ipe decking for the remaining flooring, and bridge.

We ran REW when we were setting up the crossovers, and then we have run Audyssey after ever mod to the room. I still need to do some fine tuning on the subs, and run Audyssey one final time.

We watched the first Bourne movie last night. This was the first time since about July... Man did it ever sound different since then! It is amazing how much acoustic treatments change the sound.

Thanks Dave, we still need to make more (cosmetic only) panels...for the ceiling, wrap a few panels for the walls, add additional track lights, cover the door to the hallway, and finish the panels in hallway. Maybe a days worth of work left. :)

Progress report pics...

More progress... Ceiling first reflection panels completed for the first 2 rows (MLP only in each row), Rear wall partially covered with panels including hiding the HIPs.

Update... We built the framework for the rear wall bass trap (except for the corners). We used 1x10s, and 3 layers of Roxul R60, covered it with rubber sheeting, and then re ran Audyssey. I listened to some Music and I am noticing even tighter bass than before. I had my wife come in and listen...

Here is the door handle temporarily mounted on our inner HT door. Light is powered by a 9v battery. The inner door still needs the fabric panels to be made and installed.

Update: I haven't gotten anything done in the last week as we are waiting until the HVAC work is all done. After that point I have a laborer that is going to come over and help me get the front and rear wall acoustics completed. Since we have the front three channels dialed in with REW I have...

I ended up completely re wiring the MiniDSPs, and amps and got it down to a hum. I found out that the hum was coming from my iNUCs so I relocated them (didn't help), and ended up using cheater plugs. I am very pleased with the way the MiniDSPs worked out as crossovers for my setup. Hopefully in...

I got the Yamaha back... Apparently there was a defect in the output transformers (I think that is what they called it), and they shorted out. Normally the short would have been protected from causing more damage,b b ut in my case it wasn't and they had to replace a board. They said they have...

st got my Roxul in... They shorted me by one bundle, and it was damaged. I negotiated the price down to $44 a bundle due to the damage for all 7 bundles. They are missing one bundle and hopefully i will have the missing bundle by the beginning of December. This will be for the single layer...
