If your wife needs surgery go forward with confidence. You are both vaccinated - make sure your surgeon is as well. The odds are very much in your favor. And with the vaccine covid isn't what it was plus now they have many treatments. Stay well my friend.

I'll repeat it again. We can cure stupid. We have a virus for it. If you lived here you wouldn't know it's a problem. They only report numbers on a weekly basis and nobody in the govt seems concerned.

The scary part is - take any infection number and pretty much double it because with + or - 50% of the population vaccinated the pool left to create infections is about half. That means that most of the country is above the 5% danger zone the CDC used and some are running at very dangerous...

Here in Florida we have had another uptick in cases. The only good way to see how we're doing is to subtract the number of vaccinated from the list and then determine the percentage. I suspect with that measurement we are approaching previous levels.

The county right below mine (Manatee) has been famous for being pretty open during the entire pandemic. Last week the county government building had a breakout of covid. Three people in the hospital seriously ill. Two others have died. The response - Starting Monday - masks are optional...

Why would anyone not trust the CDC - remember the guys that told us not to wear a mask a year ago last march... For the record I believe in the vaccine and science but have not always found the CDC to be the best source.

Well when I was a kid when we were poped in the nose we could have it fixed for $10 now it costs $500.

Our home depot has delivery to car as has many other stores. We're in the front and they're loading the back. We also paid for instacart and have our groceries delivered - we pay a little more + tip but it just feels safer.
