Interesting, I didn't realize they actually used the VHS dailies, I thought they were just a guide to find the film footage and conform the edit. Woof.
Sad it's only streaming but hopefully if enough people buy it there they'll do a blu.
It was a really wonderful night and having Will there made it that much more special, felt like an old friend was there to support me and represent all the wonderful folk I know at HTF and other places online. I love how we can build real friendships from far flung locales.
Hope to have the...
Me too, I'd LOVE to have an excuse to visit SF! Frameline is one of the most prestigious LGBT venues, and hopefully if we have good word out of Boston it may help us there. Who knows. It's all very opaque ;)
Jose, there is a decent chance we will play Austin later this year. Our star has had a presence at that festival before. (AGLIFF)
And gee whiz y'all make little old me feel mighty bashful. Very excited to meet Will and hopefully more of you as this thing rolls out
We have applied to Frameline, yes, but we haven't yet been notified if it will be accepted for the festival. I have about 30 submissions around the world still pending for the film.
Just wanted to let the faithful here know my film Midnight is premiering April 10 at the Boston LGBT film fest.
I am flying out with one of the leads for the screening and a Q&A after.
Will Krupp - you're local right? Would love to meet you if you can make it!
Elizabeth is fantastic, and so is our other talented actress and improviser, Suzanne Whang. I had to take out so much funny stuff from her due to time but I'll probably make some sort of separate thing from her outtakes. Sean really brought his A-game and delivered a powerful performance...
We finish the film next week, it's 22 minutes and we are going out to festivals first. After that process we hope to be able to raise the funds to keep shooting the full feature so the version available to buy hopefully will be that feature length version, with this short on there as a bonus...
I've been very absent from the forum the last few months as Ive been shooting and finishing my short film. You guys were very supportive when I posted the teaser poster before and so I'd like to share our trailer with you. Look forward to hearing people's reactions and happy to answer any...
We don't have a Blu-Ray yet as we film in August, but I thought that the short film I've written and am directing would be of interest to those in this thread. If you want to check out our FB page and give it a like, there will be updates and lots of pics and stuff as we get closer to shooting...
Not that it matters, but Ripley was a Paramount/Miramax co-production and Par has US rights.WB is releasing under their deal with Par, so no reason why the supplements wouldn't carry over.
I think Douglas is one of those actors who's never really done a "voice" for a role before and this is the most unlike himself he's ever tried for. For me not being wildly familiar with Lee's voice I thought it was a really good job of going into his style of speech and timbre without doing a...
I remember when Basic Instinct was being picketed over negative portrayals which was a load of crap. I think Mark really nailed it when he said that there should be no problem when we just stick to the movies which is what most of us want to do anyway and not get into larger societal meanings of...
Don't forget "straight for pay" too - Neil Patrick Harris on How I Met Your Mother and Matt Bomer on White Collar.
I think we've reached a point where it shouldn't matter what an actor does in his own life, he's a performer hired to breathe life into a character. The rest doesn't matter.
