Wel, I have enjoyed the Sixth Sense many times, it is a well told interesting story, well acted, the twist is not the object of it.
Never saw the 78 remake of the Body Snatchers, since I liked the original too much.
And Cavill is wooden, that is true.
But I really wonder how they will do the...
On the contrary, recognizing this, and knowing what happened in that film, I knew I was up for something similar, which I was.
I thought that was a good use of something from a previous film.
I know, spoiler, schmoiler, we're all gonna watch the movie many times, and only the first time is it 'spoiled', and after that, it is still good.
I still enjoy Sixth Sense, after many viewings, it's not what happens, it's how it happens.
Like Lucas said to Spielberg, people had read Jaws before...
Skyfall tonight. Beautiful cinematography, and a better plot than I remembered. It loses pace, or direction, in the third act, and the mayhem at Skyfall is mostly boring, IMHO, but it is really M's movie, at the final scenes are great.
Interesting to rewatch the Craigs and see they seem to be...
Thanks, a detailed reply that I appreciate, although I don't agree at all.
Just rewatched it after many years, and was surprised how much I still liked it. Bourne-like editing, to be sure, but IMHO, the story worked, and Bond being sullen was part of the plot of him coming to terms with the loss...
On the documentary on the DVD the producers confirm the miscontinuity of having Dame Judy as M in an origin story, but say they all liked her so much in the role there was no way they could change it, and I agree.
So, going through the Craigs this week in anticipation of NTTD on Saturday, and started with CR tonite.
I've seen it many times, but it's been a while, and it was better than I remembered, although a bit long.
Opening parkour sequence is great, as is a lot of the Craig-Green banter. Dialogue...
We have a liemax here on Stockholm, but I was downvoted by my family, so we'll be seeing it in the smaller but much nicer privately owned independent theater, that also has a bar and a restaurant, and looks like something from the 40s/50s with small tables (and lights) where you sit.
Run by...
Yeah, we all come to Bond from different ages and directions.
The first one I saw in a theater was Live and let die, so Moore became my Bond. Later, my father had a friend who worked at a theater, and they always had a Bond festival every summer, where I got in for free, so I saw all the Connery...
Haha, we all have our favorite Bonds to hate. Maybe I need to re-watch Moonraker after what you all say, haven't seen it for ages because I thought it sucked so bad.
So you miss the April opening, and the next window is November? What about summer blockbusters? Early fall? Bond can't be one? I don't get it. I get they want to postpone, but why so long?
