Yeah, but in those cases, as was already pointed out, it would either be PG or R back then... and R was obviously considered too strong (or negative) for such back then (probably as well as today).
That just means they added PG-13 to better accommodate what should really fit between, not...
Disney's investment/dabbling into streaming long predates D+. Movies Anywhere, for instance, began around 2014, so they could well have been considering/doing this long before D+ came on line.
Also, it probably makes more sense they'd consider something like that before the current/recent...
I've never actually seen this before either. Originally thought I'd just go w/ the 4K digital, but now, think y'all have persuaded me to go for the 4K disc instead...
