I wouldn’t mind the concentration on 90’s films, if we got an occasional 50’s and 60’s release on BD. If Disney did so, the last 2 -3 years , most of the films we’re yearning for would be out!
For me all of those , and add Johnny Tremain , Shaggy Dog (1959), Darby O Gill, The Great Locomotive Chase, In Search Of The Castaways and a nice widescreen transfer of Westward Ho The Wagons . There are probably others I'd buy as well .
Tomorrowland is in my shopping cart already, as is Inside Out and a few others . I hope the Crockett films are in the new mailer since they hadn't shown up online yet .
That's the latest mailer .Crockett should be in the next mailer due in 2 -3 weeks . I have a shopping cart ready to go as soon as I can add the Crockett films. Hopefully, there will be a good sale !
The features look good on the 50th Anniversary Double Feature , so they should look great on Blu-ray.
On the Completes Series Treasure set there was a few seconds of footage missing , so black and white footage was substituted. Maybe that's why the TV episodes weren't chosen for Blu-ray, even...
Good question! I really don't know if any new footage was filmed for the features so that they had continuity . I do know that some footage from the TV shows was cut to make the feature run around 90 minutes . I believe this was especially true of Davy Crockett At The Alamo.
I think your right. But how many copies could the new release sell considering many of us who wanted it bought the original release ? I hope DMC doesn't use that as an indicator as to release the rest of the serials that haven't been out yet .
Yes, additional serials on Spin And Marty and Annette , as well as the Hardy Boys. These could be released as "exclusive " DMC 2 DVD sets . Lets hope it happens .
As a member of the Disney Movie Club, I wonder why they reissued the Hardy Boys /Applegate Farm serial as an exclusive , but still haven't released the other Hardy Boys Serials , and the Spin and Marty and Annette serials that still haven't been released in any form?
I'd do buy the movie re-issues on Blu ray . And I've bought most of the World of Disney TV episodes and exclusive on DVD. If they resumed the releases I'd buy them on DVD or Blu-ray .
As someone mentioned on this thread , it would be nice if they issued box sets on things like Wonderful World Of...
It seems as though the yellow cover exclusive DVD's that the Disney Movie Club released with regularity, have been replaced by Blu-ray re-releases of the feature films .I did enjoy things like Hey Dad Can I borrow the Car , and Little Dog Lost . So I wish we could get both.
The Trouble With Angels is a really good film , but as I recall, the DVD is kind of soft looking . I hope it gets a restoration when it eventually comes to Blu-ray .
I'd be in for all of these. I'd also love to see the Davy Crockett shows on Blu-ray. While I'm at it , wouldn't Blu-ray be a great way to release Disney TV considering the capacity of the format ? Mickey Mouse Club, Disneyland , Wonderful World Of Disney with box sets devoted to shows like...
I've been a member for years and I've never had a problem. I keep my membership to get the exclusives some of which are episodes of the old Wonderful World Of Disney TV show. The sales bring the average price per item down to a competitive price. I just received Ichabod and Mr toad/ Fun and...
