DVD Review *** Official HTF REVIEW & Discussion Thread: Star Wars Trilogy, pt. 1

Please provide where I said anyone was stupid, ok? And you know, and I am sure it will make you all happy, I am done with this thread. It is obvious you cannot state an opinion without getting jumped on by people like Ricardo and Steve, as well as some of the others. This is not an...

Ricardo, you are seriously getting on my nerves. YOU are exactly the type of person I am referring to when I refer to harshness. You want to play these quote games, I will oblige you. Ok, what websites show a preference to SEs? I have been on IMDb, many film sites, and my own website. I have...

DVD Review *** Official HTF REVIEW & Discussion Thread: Star Wars Trilogy, pt. 1

I was talking about people I know personally and on other web sites. This is the ONLY PLACE I know where SEs are preferred. And it isn't even a whole lot of you. I see mainly the same people over and over defending SEs from those who prefer the original, true SW versions. Now there are alot of...

Sigh. I knew you would have something to say. Actually, I think he is just a terrible actor. Oh. Do you represent them?

I'm a huge Williams fan myself. I know alot of classical music fans will cringe, but I consider the SW trilogy score the finest music ever. Nothing comes even close to me. Well, except other Williams' scores like Indy, Superman, etc... So far, Lucas seems to have screwed: John Williams...

DVD Review *** Official HTF REVIEW & Discussion Thread: Star Wars Trilogy, pt. 1

Actually, I am no 'phile as you put it. I just prefer the original superior versions to the CGI advertisements that the SW films are now. I think you are right in that alot of these audio/video techophiles could care less about how good the film is compared to how good it looks and sounds on...

Ricardo, you just love bickering with people that don't care for the SEs, dont you?

DVD Review *** Official HTF REVIEW & Discussion Thread: Star Wars Trilogy, pt. 1

Oh man, I forgot a HUGE mistake from the previous SEs that I hope someone can say was fixed. Towards the end of Empire Strikes Back, as Boba Fett's ship takes off with Solo as the cargo, you see a sort of first person perspective with laser bolts firing towards the escaping ship. Only...

DVD Review *** Official HTF REVIEW & Discussion Thread: Star Wars Trilogy, pt. 1

Please point out where you saw that this thread is for owners of a DVD that isn't even out yet. I don't think you are in any position to judge what is useful. I know some other people on this board that make the same mistake. It is an opinion and in as far as I know, anyone is free to make...

DVD Review *** Official HTF REVIEW & Discussion Thread: Star Wars Trilogy, pt. 1

Just a minor thing and I don't know if it matters. I work at a major electronics retailer and I saw in the back a box of Star Wars Insider magazines with a special looking cover. We don't carry magazines so it is a tie-in thing, I am sure. There may be a free issue with the DVD release. I'll try...

DVD Review *** Official HTF REVIEW & Discussion Thread: Star Wars Trilogy, pt. 1

There is a scene during the assault on the Death Star when either Red Leader or Porkins dies. I am pretty sure it's Red Leader though but anyway, it's a moving shot and you see an explosion of sparks on the surface of the Death Star that is supposed to be the X Wing crashing. You could never...

The huge skeleton you see behind Threepio and Artoo in the desert on Tatooine in SW right after they jettison from the Tantive IV is that of a Krayt Dragon.

THANK GOD!! I thought I was the only one that noticed that. It made me laugh and infuriated me at the same time. I guess they did the old 'lion's roar' sound effect technique to spice it up but instead totally obliterated the sound effect.
