A quick heads up: Amazon is having a sale, I’m not sure if it’s only for Prime members or everyone. It’s a buy two items, get the third free, and it applies to huge numbers of discs and books. Cheapest item is free. I did multiple orders (an order of three $30 items, and a separate order of...
That would be right for the era - the show would have been shot on standard definition videotape. But, and for me it’s a big but, the Blu-ray format allows for much higher quality audio than a DVD, and the extra space on a BD and superior compression codecs used also make for a much better...
The $10 is the Universal release with only the desaturated revisionist version of the film. It’s the version that’s been in release for decades.
The $25 version is from a boutique label and includes the original full color version, the revised desaturated version, and bonus features.
Looks like Ninja Turtles 2 in 3D is gone already - only available now through third party sellers. Bummer, I rented the disc and I actually enjoyed the movie, and thought it had great 3D.
Amazon has the BD set of Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man movies marked down to $13.37:

All of the Marvel 3D Blu-rays since Thor: The Dark World have had pre-release pricing at around $20 on Amazon. Once they dropped the bonus DVD copy, the price of their combos went down. And "Age Of Ultron" went down to $17.99 a day after its release. Although the main branch of Disney hasn't...
Sorry if this was already posted and I missed it...
Mad Max Fury Road 3D is back down to $24.99
Jurassic World 3D is $24.99
The non-Cinema Series packaging of the new Bram Stoker's Dracula is down to $14.99
I might've missed this here, but I just saw that the Jack Ryan 4 pack (Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger, Sum of all Fears) for $14.99. Not as good as the $12.99 they had it for at Christmas but pretty good...I didn't get it then so I just grabbed a copy.
Lady From Shanghai on Blu at $8.99 looks like a great deal - I bought it last year when it was a TCM exclusive, and it was $30 plus shipping back then. Should've waited!
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. I just saw a 35mm print of this about a month ago, and even with a few scratches and a tiny bit of fade at parts, it was a more pleasing experience than the Blu-ray. Hoping either in 2016 for the 50th anniversary of the series premiere or the next movie's...
Does anyone know if Paramount quietly remastered this title, or if it's the same disc that's widely available in the various Trek Blu-ray sets? I didn't think any of the titles were remastered since they first hit Blu-ray but I'd love to be wrong.
