Kino had to work from Ritrovata's already corrected master (the yellow/green version). I've been told that they attempted to get the pregraded scans but were denied.

Especially since many of their other scans and color corrections (non-western) from the same time period (early to mid 2010's) have a very very similar look! To me it was obvious that their in-house colorist just favored that aesthetic.
