It’s not an issue at all. When playing thru the tv speakers or the home theater speakers, the audio sync was fine. I just wanted to prove the tv speakers worked.
I had already gone through the Denon settings and didn’t find anything applicable. So I googled it assuming the Denon was the problem and found the solution. The setting is under Video/HDMI settings. It’s under Video? Also it’s a choose this or this, you can’t have both. When I chose send...
I just tried to listen to the tv speakers and no dice. I checked the tv settings and I’ve got the TV set to use the tv’s speakers. Volume is up, muting is off. I’m watching ATV or xfinity cable, all coming into HDMI2 via my Denon receiver. No tv speaker sound.
I’ve only got HDMI 1 & 2...
The C1 models support Dolby Atmos but what does that mean? The tv will output Dolby atmos via eARC? It seems meaningless if all it does is feed the atmos to the tv speakers. Are there soundbars in which Atmos will improve the sound?
I ask because a friend is considering an upgrade to his...
I what way? Pitch Black was shot and processed to look very different. I know it’s dangerous to say I remember how it looked in the theater, but……I think the 4K on my OLED has got it right.
The blooming issues were with my LG UH8500 led and began with the 4K disc, the blu ray did not have those problems. The are no blooming issues with the LG OLED and Pitch Black looks wonderful on the OLED. If I had been willing to spend the time I probably could have fixed the blooming on the...
Last night the ATV4K wasn’t even putting out a signal per my Denon AVR. So I unplugged it’s power and HDMI and plugged them back in. Then I checked out Robert’s settings. The Format was 4K HDR (I think), HDMI output was correct as was Chroma. Both the Match Content settings were off. In all...
Last night we were watching Hulu via ATV 4K for the first time. The screen would go black for moment and come back. Every 5-10 minutes it would do it. Than later I’m watching HBO Max and no problem for quite a while then it happened again, but much less frequently. Broadband speed was fine...
Turns out my Tivo Edge has a video resolution selection to choose. I had chosen “Auto (recommended.” That meant (according to the Tivo forum that the Tivo was doing the upscaling). Also according to the forum if I select 1080i and 720p the tivo is not doing the upscaling.
The Tivo was also...
So far, no, because everything is coming in as HDR.
That screen that displays the info, is that definitely what the incoming signal is, or what the TV is converting it to. I have not run across any signal from my Tivo that isn’t HDR and 4K. Is 4K that common now on cable channels?
Lest my...
I’ve done a bit of tweaking here and there and then I threw a 130 mph curve ball at the TV, I put on “Pitch Black”. If you’ve seen the movie you know how varied the challenges are. Bright, bright, bright and Dark, dark, dark. With scenes falling in between.
When I watched this movie with a...
When there’s no input to the tv is displays an absolutely beautiful screensaver. Mostly classic painting, appropriately framed, and a few photos. I’m mesmerized watching it.
I called LG Tech Support to ask some questions. After a half hour on hold, I hung up. Then I clicked on their website link for the LG Community. That result told me to go to Facebook as the “Community” had been moved there.
So there’s a FB support page. It’s not a community forum. I began...
My current setup is one video output from my Denon X6500H AVR. This means all my settings have to apply to HDMI2 on the TV no matter what type of signal?
I ask questions because I don’t know the answer.
I’ve done my first major calibration, I removed the protective clear plastic cover. :thumbs-up-smiley:
There is an option to copy settings to all inputs. I need to understand better what is an input. Does that mean the separate hdmi...
When I do that, under Picture there are selections for HDR Select Mode, Aspect Ration, and Advanced Settings. Choosing HDR Select Mode gives me the same options listed above. Advanced Seetings gives me Brightness, Color, Clarity, Apply to all Inputs, Reset, Filmmaker Mode, and Reduce Blue...
@JWC1969 That helps a lot. Another questions, how do all those calibrations fit into one TV input source, since everything is going thru my AVR first. Which brings up a question, would the calibration include proper settings for the AVR? No, that would be extra.
