The other day, I had one of those instantaneous sneezes, the ones with no build-up. I covered my mouth with my hands, turned away from people, all with my mask on. I didn’t make a choice, I think it was an autonomous action, like breathing when asleep.
Watched some video of a certain group of people who don’t believe in masks. One guy is holding one and is saying something to the effect this simple thing is supposed to save my life, I don’t believe it. Another says covid is a hoax. Another says “if I die, i die. I don’t care.” To these...
I’ve noticed some here in another thread they look forward to an effective vaccine so they can go back to a movie theater. I have to ask myself, self, what is an effective vaccine? I’ve heard anywhere from 50% to 90% is what we can hope for. 50% doesn’t impress me at all and 90% is not a...
There is one reason, and one reason only that causes a segment of the country to refuse to mask. That reason is the very thing we can’t discuss here, so I wont.
PS: it’s not science or medicine.
I’ve always make it a practice to only drink when I’m alone or with somebody. No exceptions! ;)
Actually, there is an exception. I hardly drink right now because of my diet. I’ve lost 20 lbs and aiming for another 30. I do feel the need in the next 7 days for a nice bourbon and water.
It seems to me that Disney has decided that it’s ok to kill some people to make a buck. Disney has intelligent people running it and they know the consequences of what they are doing.
What is discouraging me is that the solution to knocking down covid quicker is so simple and easy to do, and we won’t. This nation is playing Russian roulette with a fully loaded revolver.
One of my walking paths is around a 9-hole course. I noticed that on every green that I could see, the cup was raised about 6-8” above the green. This kind of drove me nuts wondering why. It wasn’t just for one day, but everyday.
I finally asked a golfer and he said it was covid-19 related...
Selections of meat are slim in the Little Rock area. This is compounded by the fact that we avoid going into the stores and are dependent on what the shopper finds. However we went into Sams and bought a couple packets of T-bones (4 total) and for the first time ever, we bought a whole beef...
After all, they have an example to follow.
Sure, the piece was edited. One, because they film more than they can air. Two, because some people are just better representations of stupidity. Keep in mind though, their actions by showing up and crowding together like that show they are all...
Ah yes, the voices of idiots. Did I just write that out loud? I’m sorry, but my ability to tolerate ignorance has dropped drastically since covid-19 began.
While Pompeo is saying Chinese Lab, the federal health agencies are saying very unlikely. Come on, who ya gonna believe? And you let the straight line for “Airplane” go right by you. ;)
I think HIV is now considered a chronic disease, permanent once acquired, but treatable.
“Possibly man-made”.? Shirley you jest?
I tell what is definitely man-made: willful ignorance of the facts. (Not aimed at you).
Yes, our understanding of how the universe works has grown. Unfortunately, society has not kept pace. There are too many who will gladly ignore the science when it is “inconvenient” to them, or when the new knowledge requires long term thinking.
I’ve always found it odd that the same people...
