Bryan I am 76, I’ve had cats most of my adult life and now lately, I’ve added dogs. I’ve said goodbye to my babies too many times to count. That has never stopped me from adopting another. The next pet is not a replacement but a successor. That pet will bring it’s own personality and charm...
@Mike Frezon Congratulations to Ernie, that is a wonderful milestone. Good boy Ernie! And good man Mike for adopting an elder dog. More people need to do that. Our Jada was 12-14 when we adopted her. I am surprised that the Amish would engage in such a despicable practice.
Live long and...
The trouble with the video is I had to chose between loving and laughing at it. I decided I loved it more than it made me laugh. It put a big grin on my face.
-Big, dopey, lovable dog. I love that description. They are going to bring you much joy, @Radioman970. They’re’ rescue dogs and you kept a bonded pair together. Way to go! I
This is Scarla. I think I’ve written about her before. She was about 5 when we adopted her and is 9 now. She has lost the ability to support herself on her hind legs. Scarla had a cat scan last night showing she had a bulging disc. A successful surgery followed. She will stay at the vet...
@radioman Kate and Sweetpea would have been bone only, I think. You’re in the same situation were until we started creation. I forget how I learned about cremation be we jumped on it. The fellow who exhumed our babies was part of the family owned company. I don’t promise everyone will do this.
We didn’t always do cremtion, but then I was told about a cremation company. They came to our house and picked up our baby and when I pointed out where I had buried 2 others, they dug them up at no charge, ( I didn’t want to do that) and cremated them also.
@Radioman970 We do the cremation to with all our babies. We’ve had a lot of kitties (and now 2 dogs still kicking) during our lives. Each one in an urn. Sweet dreams Honey Bun.
@Radioman970 I am glad you’ve retained room in your heart for another dog after losing one. Not everyone can do that. As far as replacing a previous pet, read my signature for understanding what you are really doing.
The adoptions fees vary by organization but as you’ve realized they are a bargain. The heart worm treatment can be very expensive. You’d pay a vet $150-$200 just for a spay/neuter.
Any news? Probably nothing until Monday. We had selected a dog we really wanted and didn’t get her. Then a...
