    Internal focus is a wonderful feature on a macro. Both the current Tamrons have it. The truth is, I almost never shoot macro on a tripod.

    Sam, you know I named the lens specifically for your benefit. There are a few on eBay for around $1.5K. The last time I saw any at KEH they were in the $2K range. :P That shot was at 180mm, so with the D7100 an effective focal length of 270mm, which is very nice for allowing me to photograph...

    Thanks for the info. Being mostly a sheet film photographer, I think it is fairly obvious which app is more my style, not to say I will never shoot any events that might be suitable for batch processing. It's just that I was upgrading PS and Adobe had a deal on LR if you bought them together...

    Some excellent macro work. I really should get out and do some macro, especially since I have the long-discontinued Nikon 70-180 Micro, one of the coolest lenses ever made.
