The LS12000 should ship with an included ceiling mount. One of the advantages it has over the 11000.

My advice is to always buy the best you can afford at the time of upgrade since these windows don't come along all that often and the last thing you want is regrets. In your situation the LS12000 seems to be the best choice. I've also seen it in action and doubt you'll be disappointed.

Thanks for the update, @Mark-P Probably a bit soon to ask but have you found yourself adjusting the HDR controls mid-film due to inconsistent brightness levels? Looks like you're coming from a 5040 which has very similar [dynamic] contrast specs as my 6050. I can't find ANSI contrast specs...

Perhaps. Until something truly compelling comes along, however, I believe waiting actually is the smarter choice. After all, we both already have perfectly serviceable projectors and I expect my next one to likely be my last.

I don't doubt the improvements are there, I just wasn't previously aware. The 6050 is already plenty bright, especially in a light-controlled room. Here is the likely reason for any confusion in the firmware version numbers.

Interesting the price diff between the Home and Pro versions remains $1000.00 even though there's no need for an extra lamp. If you're like me and also have no need for the mount, the extra cost is hard to accept, basically for a black chassis.

Where have you seen this? As far as I know Epson hasn't published native [ANSI] contrast ratios for either model.

Personally I wouldn't let that affect my decision as manufacturer's almost exclusively publish "On/Off" contrast ratios which are misleading and not indicative of what you'll actually see onscreen.

I'm confused by this statement. How can it support HDR10+ and not properly process the dynamic meta data it provides?

My concern would be buying this one now and then within the next year or so Epson announcing a replacement model that adds true dynamic tone mapping and returns 3D to the mix. Just seems like a good time to double down.
