I wasn't the biggest fan of the original, but, it was a decent enough comic mystery.
GLASS ONION starts off awkwardly with the large cast being introduced with some awfully forced 'witty banter'. Some of the actors are entertaining enough, but, it doesn't really kick into gear into the murders...
Obviously, this was a compromise to get the bigger chains to show a Netflix film. BLONDE has been in theaters for 3 weeks now. And, I have read of no 'One Week And Out' restriction on Inarritu's BARDO.
Of course, those movies are in very limited release in mostly indie theaters.

And, my main point is that all the loss leaders in the world won't add up eventually. You can't keep spending the kind of money Netflix is on financially dubious big deals. That's the reason that most Wall Street analysts aren't gung ho on Netflix...

I understand that "model", but even in the days of yore, studios couldn't keep on losing money on big projects. Otherwise, Century City would still be a part of the Fox (now Disney) backlot
