Thanks to everyone for their interest in this thread. Another admission of stupidity- loaning money. I learned the hard way that loaning isn’t loaning- it’s giving (when you lend money, you don’t usually see it again). The important thing is learning from our mistakes.

I locked myself out of my house yesterday, so I had to break a window to get in. 🙁 This thread is about the dumb mistakes we all have made.
