Seems to be normal these days with Amazon. I used to get stuff within 3 days of order- now 2 weeks is the delay.

If there’s anything good about the decline and possible demise of physical media, it’s the whole multi-dipping stuff is pretty much over.

I just ordered this one from Amazon. I think Criterion has done outstanding work for decades (their choosing to not do UHD releases is a valid criticism though), so I don’t think I’ll be displeased.

Give us Lone Star- a gem of a film. Great Expectations would also be welcome- one of my favorite classic films. Ruthless People is one of my favorite comedies, so I’d be all over that.

Interesting question- has Criterion ever released a BluRay, then the original distributor released a UHD after?

Yes when an older adult title gets released by a boutique label, then Criterion can definitely release at least a few of their titles (Fast Times definitely qualifies as a popular film that would get interest from UHD fans).

I’m sure this question has been asked, and discussed in other Criterion threads- will there ever be any UHDs released by them? I tend to doubt it.
