I haven’t seen either myself, just drinking the Kool-Aid and assuming DV does look better than HDR10 when both are done correctly.

I think HDR10 is the default on most discs, I think Dolby Vision is usually put on discs where they want to show they put in the extra effort to make it look good.

It does, but what the heck, it would be nice to be able to watch stuff as good as my LG C1 is capable of. If I got a cheaper TV/Samsung, then I wouldn’t sweat it, but since my TV can do it, I want to see it.

Oh, guess I wasn’t looking close enough at the product listing. I guess the only reason the Sony was so pricy is because they modded it for region free play. I’m not that worried about that.

Getting a 4K TV sooner than I thought I would. Thought I would just watch UHD discs on a PS5 at some point, but see that the PS5 doesn't support Dolby Vision, plus they are impossible to get anyway. What UHD player would you all recommend? Oppo is out, I'm not about to spend $5K on eBay for one...
