    The Streets of San Francisco...

I'm sure we all agree with that statement. :)

    The Streets of San Francisco...

Well, when it comes to cop shows Hawaii Five-O is the better of the two series for one thing. :) That's still no reason to split up seasons of a show like Streets, that only had about 22 shows a year. Even Five-O regularly had 24 episode seasons, except the awful final season (which had only...

    The Streets of San Francisco...

I'm surprised they couldn't get Malden and Douglas to do some commentaries. The only extra we got in the first set was a 3 minute Army Arched interview with them on the set of the show.

CANNON I'll buy, but I'm passing on Jed Clampett. :)

    The Streets of San Francisco...

I didn't even realize until today that Karl Malden is still alive at 95! My grandfather lived to that age. Here's a photo of Karl getting a lifetime achievement SAG award from Michael Douglas in 2004:

    The Streets of San Francisco...

Yesterday I bought The Streets of San Francisco at Best Buy. They look as great on DVD as they did when WPIX in New York aired them at 2 in the morning back in the 1980s. I can't understand why Paramount / CBS Video would release the first season in what will be 2 volumes, unless they...

    The Streets of San Francisco...

So The Invaders narrator was the same guy who did the opening theme narrative for The Odd Couple. Until now I didn't know his name. William Woodson. Interesting. :)

    The Streets of San Francisco...

I was kind of hoping we might have a discussion on the show itself as it was presented in its native country: here in the USA. My votes for strangest episodes: John Davidson playing a transvestite performer in "Mask of Death", and Arnold Schwarzenegger as a short-tempered bodybuilder...

    The Streets of San Francisco...

No problem, Chris. :) The Untouchables and The Fugutive, meanwhile had narration in the show (Walter Winchell and William Conrad).

    The Streets of San Francisco...

There were no narrations on QM Productions made in the 1970s, although I'm not sure about DAN AUGUST starring Burt Reynolds (because I've never had the opportunity to see that series). CANNON, Streets of San Francisco, Barnaby Jones, etc. all had the announcer telling you each episode title...

    The Streets of San Francisco...

You'll enjoy it, Dan. Michael Douglas and Karl Malden were one of the great cop teams in TV history. :emoji_thumbsup: After the 4th season though, Douglas was getting more feature film offers, so he quit the show. He did come back for the 2-part 5th season premiere "The Thrill Killers"...

    The Streets of San Francisco...

Yeah, I forgot it was a 2 hour pilot and not a 90 minute one (the usual standard for 1970s TV).

    The Streets of San Francisco...

Is the full 73 minute version of the TV movie pilot on the first disc?

    The Streets of San Francisco...

COMBAT! were sold as split seasons ("Campaigns") for a long time. Then a whole series set came out for $200, so there is always hope. ;)

    The Streets of San Francisco...

I would buy them however it's arranged, but I believe it will be one set per season. Interesting if this QM Production comes out before The Fugitive does. :)

    The Streets of San Francisco...

Why would The Streets of San Francisco be split into 2 sets per season, when they only did about 24 shows a year??
