i'm going to be a hypocrite :frowning: i ordered these discs when the price went to around 80 per set, which makes the 6 films to be around $13.33 per movie. :D i'm 2much of a Blu-Ray freak not to get it.

before 1 became a movie, paramount wanted to bring back star trek as a tv series "Phase II". all those ideas morphed and eventually turned into the film. all of the TOS trek films look dirty.

i doubt 2 will be that drastic of a difference like the Bond remasters. it'll still be the low-budget film that it is. i just wouldn't pour that much expectation into it.

just wanted to let u know that the TMP theatrical & DC can't be seamless because the DC is far too different. FYI.

TOS non-Lucased edition on BD= FINALLY!!! that's why i didn't get it on HD DVD when TOS came out. it was SE only. this is the proper way to do it! now we want the rest! S2&S3!!

jason, the color disc shows you paramount does not care about its movies or HD or any of this nonsense. if they cheap out on the disc art design, they cheap out on film negatives, they cheap out everything until digital content creation prices have come down to make them rethink their strategy...

are you talking about paramount's own BD or are you talking about BD in general? almost ALL OTHER studio (non Paramount) have better artwork on their Blu-Ray disc itself than Paramount releases. i have 300+ discs :D. i don't need to freak out. i already know. paramount will cheap out on these...
