I'll be in for any version of a future for the Halloween franchise. I love the series, always have. Myers is my favorite slasher. So toss me a TV show, hurl another film or two or three or 15 at me. Just keep churning them out please!
I totally agree. I think the idea is absolutely brilliant. I have always loved the 1st film and New Nightmare. I'm a sucker for most of the others too, but 1 and New are the best by far.
While I ultimately still enjoy Halloween 2 (I'm a sucker for The Shape), what I don't like is that the film is supposedly a continuation of the night of the first film. And yet, the first film ended after people were sleeping and trick r' treating was all wrapped up, but here in the sequel...
I agree with everything you've said here. And I absolutely LOVE Halloween 3. It's one of my favorite films in the franchise. As for just thinking the killer is out there somewhere - yes - it is infinitely creepier with that ending. Explanation destroys imagination - and it is in the imagination...
Agree 100%. Zombie seems to think that every killer in the universe is an uneducated redneck with an enormous vocabulary of vulgarity. Meanwhile - here in the real world, Ed Kemper has a 145 IQ and is incredibly well spoken and polite, even today after a stroke, and Bundy was a charming wannabe...
I don't have a complete ranking, however, the original Halloween is my favorite horror film (up there with Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Frankenstein, Night of the Living Dead, and Nosferatu). The 2 films by Rob Zombie are at the bottom of the list for me. In between - I LOVE Halloween 3: Season of...
