I've a feeling it's because the choices were pre-selected and people didn't agree with (some of) those selections. I mean e.g. "bad release" means different things to different people.

Just to clarify: The old VHS from Warner included the uncut "roadshow" version? Meaning with (approx) 15 minutes of additional material? And this is the same print that has been shown on TCM?
