I figured this was as good a place as any to post this.
Jeremy Renner in “critical but stable condition" following an accident

Obviously, this is bad news to start the year. I wish him a full...
Seriously? Secret Wars is coming out in November 2025. I would be very surprised if it even has a script at this point. I think any chatter about actor deals for it is extremely premature. This is especially true of the Spider-Man characters, whose film rights Disney does not own.
Disney announced that Quantmania and The Marvels were swapping places a while back. The Marvels needed more time in post-production so they just decided to switch the two. I don't think is a huge deal because those two franchises traditionally occupy different corners of the MCU anyway.
I understand the sentiment, but let's be totally fair to WB/DC here. Marvel was in a position where they needed to make an announcement like this soon. The Marvels next July was the last movie officially dated until yesterday, so it was necessary to formalize what the next couple years would...
Sure it would. We've discussed Love and Thunder. I don't love that movie, but I liked parts of it. The best thing about it in my opinion is that it wasn't concerned with the current multiverses goings-on. I'm caught up with everything, but I didn't need that movie to advance the multiverse...
I don't think Spider-Man is Disney's to announce. I absolutely agree that it will continue, but we know that Sony will be the distributor for that. So I think those dates are Sony's to reveal when they are ready, even if Marvel remains a co-producer. This is also why I don't think that...
I don't think the number of hours of content is the issue. I'm a big fan of the MCU and I still like most of what they've been doing recently. I'm not remotely interested in jumping off the train. But I think there are two things here:
1) You are talking from the perspective of an obsessive...
It isn't surprising to me that they want to do another two-part event, but it is a surprise that they are back-to-back on the release schedule. I figured if they would do a year between movies again in order to have both of them play in the summer.
I liked Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain...
Yes, but Disney's end goal here is for D23 to become competitive with Comic-Con. They won't manage that if they give away a bunch of big news at Comic-Con.
That is a good point
It has to be a very hard line to walk. They don't want any fans to leave Comic-Con upset, so they've got to bring something. But they also obviously want to be able to tout the biggest news at their own event. I don't know how to strike that balance, so I'm sure glad I'm...
I would be really surprised if they make announcements about new projects tomorrow. Disney is going to want to save the big reveals for D23, their own convention, which is coming up in September.
I think the more reasonable expectation tomorrow is for them to talk about things we already know...
I totally get that. For me, my anger at the handling of Wanda exceeded my apathy toward the characters in Eternals. But they're basically interchangeable on a ranking list because neither one was ultimately satisfying.
It's interesting you mention her because she is the only character on your...
I really debated about where to place Eternals relative to Multiverse of Madness. It's mostly just semantics because both of them are very low for me. However, I think I would give Eternals a slight edge because Multiverse of Madness actually made me upset at Wanda's treatment. I left the...
