I am contractually obliged to mention that the Professor could build a rocket, but NOT a raft nor fix the damage to a boat!
Are there any MGM/UA related logos on the DVD version?
A shame, as at the rate we've gone, and are going with the upcoming Fantastic FAKES reboot, the H-B version is still the BEST version of the F4 we've ever had. In any other media!!! ('94 series is a close one, but tainted by that first season)
Aren't the '80s Jetsons another Old Shame to HB/WB? I hear they were avoided on Boomerang for a long time. Yes we got S2, but that might be our token '80s release, like the RR/SD Show was the token Scrappy season release before we don't have to mention him again.
Also didn't the '70s Addams...
What's more, some of the newer characters like Samurai and Black Vulcan gave some PSAs, so I guess they made a few new ones. This was definitely older, as Danny Dark's inflection as Superman is still low.
Great memories from the other ads and clips on this video...like Moss Man and Zack...
Yeah, I got thrown off when they lost the rest of the gang and did fantasy stories, and yes, when Scoob became more anthropomorphic. But I'd watch those over Get a Clue still.
The '68 Filmation series was 100000x better than the New Adventures. From what I saw of it, they were really corny...
Me too, but because he wasn't THAT bad. I do think Scrappy's "legend" has been built up by the Internet. And yeah, because S&SDGAC is THAT bad.
I don't have the RR/SD set, are these shorts double dips? And nothing from the 1982 shorts?
Still wishing for '82 in its COMPLETE version so I...
Hmmmm....I remember seeing maybe the Filmation H&J when Terrytoons aired on USA in the mid-90s, but mostly recall the MM (and dubbed Supermouse) theatricals. And Deputy Dawg.
I know what was said pages ago on this thread, but I still can't help but wonder if WB is hiding something by not coming out with more complete Scooby sets. The rest of the Movies I understand, but not so much the "lost" 1978 episodes. They could do it on one disc, like the World's Greatest...
Lex is also in this series that was just released, in an homage episode to Superman: The Movie (basically). Bizarro also appears outside of Challenge of the Superfriends, both in the '80s shorts and Super Powers Team.
Yes I remember a cartoon where he said his phrase multiple times. Thank you for confirming its existence!
Good thing the villain du juor didn't have a cup of coffee on him, eh? ;-)
Anyway to reply to other posts...I didn't know the remaining "lost" shorts made two seasons. I stand...
Really? The World's Greatest Superfriends is finally on DVD? GREAT news! And no, this is one of the remaining two seasons that have not been put on DVD, actually. (the other being the last of the "missing" shorts, I believe from 1980-81. The "lost episodes" set that did come out was from...
Doesn't Warner own Gilligan now anyway? Kind of like how they could use the Filmation DC series due to owning the comics company?
(If so, it would be interesting to see if GP retains the MGM/UA logo at the end with the music from the theatrical United Artists "Turning UA")
I have to watch the rest, but remember the first few eps. being really corny. And yeah, now I remember the '68 series being on Amazon! I guess that might be why we haven't seen certain series pop up on DVD, because everything's going digital? Speaking of which, I assume the 1980-82 Scoobys on...
I was referring to Scrappy-Doo, as other than 13 Ghosts or Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo, WB has not released any of the seasons where he prominently features, outside of bonus episodes. And when they do, they don't mention his name on the case or downplay it...also seen in the RR/SD trailer where you...
I second the earlier post about wanting the last of the Superfriends series (World's Greatest and the last of the "Lost" shorts) and Filmation Batman '68 (I was curious to see the New Adventures series, but it's more sugar coated than Superfriends ever was!) As for Scooby, I think the difficulty...
