They seemed to focus almost entirely of the lighting, reflections, etc. Which is good and definitely something lacking in the original, but the shitty CGI models made the whole thing look like crap. And the Star Wars laser effect is iconic so their "improvements" to those were awful.

I never really got the Ewok hate. Underdogs overcoming a superior force using unconventional tactics is a tried & true trope. Yeah, the costumes weren't great and they're a bit overly cutesy, but it never really bothered me. Give me the Ewoks over the Gungans any day.

Me too. I wanted to see the OT characters one more time. They're what got me to love Star Wars in the first place. That said, going forward I'd like to see them focus primarily on the new characters.

Possibly. And that may be right, there are certainly enough people who nitpick things like that around here too. :) But perhaps most people aren't going to bother downloading something like that if the official version is good enough & guys like Harmy won't get their Internet fame. Star Wars...
