I am deep admirer of Paul Schrader's work, but I have not seen Light of Day, so I'm with you on that one, David. A commentary by Schrader would be a must. His track for the anamorphic R2 of Light Sleeper is superb, btw.
John, Double Life of Veronique is out next week in the UK. I heard a rumour about a region 1 release, but I cannot recall who the distributor may be; sorry.
Jay, The Internecine Project DVD is 1.33:1, as this review states and the screen captures attest. Looks like an open-matte job. The great Geoffrey Unsworth was the cinematographer on this film, so I would prefer a flawless transfer, but it generally looks serviceable.
The Reincarnation of Peter Proud is owned by a company called Rysher Entertainment. Anchor Bay tried to get the rights, but Rysher wanted too much money. I have a DVD-r from the Laserdisc. The Romantic Englishwoman is available in the UK: Available here (ignore the 4:3 specs - it's...
Ooooh! Great stuff there, David! :emoji_thumbsup: I was recently reminded about Compulsion. Excellent film. Shot in CinemaScope. Never available in OAR? And I've always wanted to see Years Of Lightning, Day Of Drums and Four Days In November. Nice one. :) Gordy
Chris, Fox UK released THE ENTITY on DVD last year. Excellent anamorphic transfer and the original (?) 4.1 track sounds great too. Just the trailer as far as extras go, but it was a budget price disc. Amazing that Fox USA has not released it already. Maybe they want to add a commentary or...

In reply to Dick: A HIGH WIND IN JAMAICA (Fox) Yeah, it could be a long time before we see this one. One of Scorsese's favourites. FRIENDS OF EDDIE COYLE (Paramount) Great film. Never on video, I believe? IN COLD BLOOD (Columbia - eventually, I think) The first modern film to use...
It amazes me how many great yet 'obscure' films have been released or are going to be released on DVD in the last few years, but there are some films that I fear may never be properly released on DVD... TITICUT FOLLIES (1967, Frederick Wiseman) Wiseman's landmark documentary on a prison for...
